Упр. 1. (а) Перепишите предложения и переведите их на русский язык. Подчеркните в каждом из них сказуемое в страдательном залоге и укажите его видовременную форму. Обратите внимание на то, что в предложении может быть несколько сказуемых.

1. The Board of Directors is elected by the company's shareholders at the general meeting.

2. When a new labor contract was being negotiated, the trade union demanded to increase wages of the most low-paid workers.

3. Denmark and the United Kingdom are the only EU members, which have been granted an exemption from using the euro.

4. Computers are increasingly being used in business and banking because they are fast, efficient and accurate.
