Aposiopesis According to I. R. Galperin, a syntactical stylistic device is a deliberate and foregrounded deviation in the arrangement of syntactical structures used to achieve an expressive, emotional, or logical effect in the text. Galperin defines stylistic devices as “special linguistic means which secure the desired effect of the utterance and make the text expressive and evaluative.”
